MORE PICTURES OF MORE PETS!
Each week we feature two pets from the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter, usually a dog and a cat. But there are many, many other fine animals at the shelter that are in need of adoption. For a picture gallery of many of the available animals, follow this link: www.okc.petfinder.com.
Thousands of homeless animals in Oklahoma City. Each week on the Bill & Patti show we will feature wonderful future pets that are up for adoption at the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter.
What can you do?
First and foremost, you can make a difference by helping control the pet population by having your pets spayed or nutered. If you do have an animal that you can no longer care for then please do not let it out on the street corner. Take it to the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter so they can find it a good loving home.
How can I adopt a pet?
Well, stop by the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter at 2811 SE 29th (29th and Bryant) to check out what all is available. Or you can call 297-3100. We think you will be suprised at the wonderful selection of animals for you!
How much does it cost?
http://www.okc.gov/animalwelfare/Adopt_Info.html
It doesn't cost as much as you think, and the rewards far outweigh what you pay. Adoption fee for dogs and cats: $65. However, there are some special fees. Pets that have been in adoption for 14 or more days, $25. Two or more pets adopted together are $25 each. And pets four years of age or older are $25.
